Jasmine Halloween 2005

Just got back from trick or treating with Jasmine. This is her first year out and she went as a Hodag. Talk about a cute little girl, here are some pictures of her :)

Ipod Video

About two weeks ago apple announced the release of their 5th generation ipod. The new ipod sports video, slimmer case, and the option of black. I could no longer resist after saving up for the last few months. So I went ahead and bought myself one. I have been patiently waiting for it to ship for two weeks and finally when I received the notice that it was on its way diligently tracked it daily to see how close it was. It arrived Monday afternoon and I have been loving it since :)

Grandkid's Reunion

After Shannon's grandfather passed away all the grandkids decided since we rarely got together except for funerals and weddings, the former more often, that it was time to change that.

So this last weekend marked the first of a new yearly tradition. We got together at one of the cabins in the northwoods for the weekend and had a blast! Between Friday and Saturday we had late nights, great cooking (plenty of turkey and deserts), lots of fun playing board games, and just hanging out.

We planned out our next get together for July at my mother's house which she recently turned into her cabin on the lake. So next year we should have a lot of fun including some time to play on the lake!

Kai has started to roll from both front to back and from back to front, so he has an archaic form of moving from one place to another now. Yet another big milestone hits the dust....... it is funny to watch him because he doesn't always end up where he wants to go. You can just tell by the look he gets on his face if he has accomplished his goal or not.

Time for Change

As a number of things have started to come together in my life I decided it was time for some changes. Most of my life the biggest hurdle has been my weight. Though it pains me to actually post information about myself online I figure it is time to face the music and actually do something about it. So for any of you that are actually interested in following this tail out to wherever it may lead, check out my new blog. I plan to keep a living diary of my progess in losing weight and overall change in lifestyle.

Congrats Owen and Kim

This last weekend Shannon, the kids, and I went up to Mankato, MN for Owen and Kim's wedding. The whole thing was incredibly decorated. Everything went well and I wish both Owen and Kim a wonderful life together.

The other great thing about the weekend was seeing a number of friends I haven't seen for years. It was nice to catch up with Rob, Chris, Joe and Becky, etc. Dan also flew in for the weekend and stayed in the same hotel with us. Overall a fun weekend to catch up with a number of friends

Is it really that bad?

My wife has told me for a number of years how bad my feet stink and though I do agree I never thought it was really that bad. Today I got a second opinion, my dear daughter who absolutely loves shoes (I know scary thought a two year old already feels this way) was parading around with my shoes on her feet. As she takes them off and holds them up apparently catching a whiff she drops them and says "Eww poopy" and then proceeds to grab the baby wipes and try to wipe them out. Needless to say it was a pointless venture from the start but I think I learned something along the way :)
