Current project

After 10 years of not picking up a paint brush, I decided to start trying my hand at watercolor
painting again. This is the resulting picture. It has a long way to go before it is done but I don't think it is too bad for my first serious try after that may years.

Chris and I are house hunting right now. Talk about a stressful adventure. I will just be happy when we get into something we can both live with. After seeing Jasmine with our cousins dog, Harley, I think we will be making that investment soon after we get a house. That dog actually wore her out and visa versa. Now we just have to decide what type of dog is right for our family.

I am just excited about getting into a house. It will be nice not to have to worry about how loud Jas is being and if she is disturbing the neighbors.

Learning New Tricks

Kai, just shy of 8 months old, has within the last few days figured out how to sit himself up without any help. Also at the same time we just noticed that Jasmine has figure out how to put puzzles together, something she was not able to do a few month's ago.

I've been Everywhere Man...

Okay this took me too long to post but I figured I might as well share. Better late then never! A couple weekends ago Shannon and I got together with our friend Shaun for a long weekend. Thursday night Shan, the kids, and I headed up to Rhinelander to meet up with Shaun.

Friday morning Shaun and I struck out for Brule Ski Hill. Before we discuss the trip let me step back almost two months ago. It was a week before X-mas and I was playing hockey with the Tuesday night crew and went into the corner to grab a puck, as I was spinning around to pass my skate caught in the ice and the rest of my body continued to turn. It hurt a lot and since then I have seen both a doctor and a physical therapist who both have told me no hockey until they say so. I have now been without hockey for two months which for someone who plays almost twice a week, 52 weeks a year is a hard thing. Back to the ski hill, oh yah to bring these stories together, I kind of 'forgot' to mention to either of the doctors that I snowboard. I guess my rational was that if I forgot to tell them they wouldn't say no and therefore it would be okay to do. No worries the day with Shaun was a blast, every time I go out I seem to get a hang of boarding even better. Shaun who is still quite new to skiing decided to live the day to the x-treme. Not falling once he decided to see how fast he could go down the steepest hills he could find. The more dangerous the better, I didn't stand a chance at keeping up but had a blast carving my way down the hill none the less. We returned that evening to pick up Shannon and proceed up to the casino to blow some cash on Black Jack.

Saturday Shaun, my parents, some friends, and I all headed to Green bay to catch the second college outdoor game, which happened to be held at Lambeau field. It was incredible to watch a game like that outside. I was disappointed though that they used a Zamboni, I figured since it was old school it would be awesome to see them come out with shovels to clear the ice. But you don't see games broadcast over ESPN being shoveled in between periods.

Sunday we all headed down to Chicago and had a fun stay with our Cousin's who live in Geneva. They were nice enough to put us up for a few days and we had the chance to meet up with Shaun again at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. Jasmine had a blast checking out the fish in the tanks and it was like visiting the place for the first time just watching her expressions.
